Bugatti Veyron for sale in the Netherlands; comes with own trasport truck

If you’re not content with buying just any other Bugatti Veyron, then you might be interested in this particular 2007 light blue Veyron that comes with its very own Bugatti-detailed Mercedes Atego car transporter.

The car and transporter package is being sold for $1,264,815 at Cragslist.
In this day and age, Bugatti Veyron owners are as rare as the supercar itself so for those owning one, it takes a little something extra to stand out from your peers. That’s where the Atego transporter, which comes with a matching paint scheme, Bugatti logos, and a car ramp, comes in.

The car and transporter is currently located in the Netherlands where it is available at van Vliet Personenauto’s. Interested buyers outside of the country may have to shell out a few more wad for shipping and transport.

Video: Jay Leno drives a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport in response to Conan O’Brien’s Bugatti Veyron Mouse

Last week, Conan O’Brien’s Bugatti Veyron Mouse became the talk of the town after it made an appearance at one the last episodes of the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. We’re thinking that the whole segment was O’Brien’s own way of taking a little dig on Jay Leno, who’s famously known for being a car enthusiast.

Well, consider this video as Jay Leno’s response to Conan’s little skit.

In the latest episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, Leno featured his very own Veyron, a 16.4 Grand Sport. The big difference is that while O’Brien loaned the one that appeared on the show from the Petersen Automobile Musem, Leno’s Veyron looks like it’s actually his.

We figured that this so-called Late Night Wars reached its end after Conan and NBC agreed on a buy-out settlement and the comedian was brought of his contract with NBC, but now it seems that it’s only heating up and don’t be surprised if Leno turns the table on Conan with a few skits of his own directed at the latter in the coming weeks.

Until then, consider this video of Jay Leno driving around in a Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport as the opening salvo.

Bugatti commissions Ferrari to make $15,000 pen

How’s this for ironic: Bugatti – you know them as the makers of one of the most mouth-watering cars in the world – has tapped the services of Ferrari to help them create one of the most expensive ballpoint pens you can imagine.

Ok, it’s not really what you think it is. While it’s true that Bugatti is set to come out with a pen that’s beyond expensive, it didn’t commission the Prancing Horse to make the pens for them but a company that conveniently goes by the name of Ferrari de Varese.

Designed by Luigi Trenti of the aforementioned Ferrari de Varese, the Bugatti Type A pen is not your ordinary ballpoint that you can just buy at any Barnes and Noble. First of all, it’s crafted from aluminum and plated with the following minerals: nickel, silver, palladium, and platinum. You guys keeping up?

In addition to that, the pen’s nib is made from rhodium-coated 18-karat gold that also comes with a sapphire glass window and a lacquered black embossed Bugatti logo.

With all these jewelry and expensive minerals, you can probably imagine how much this Bugatti pen is going to cost you. Let’s just say that for one of these babies, you can actually buy yourself a decent car. That’s right, folks. You’re going to have to shell out $15,000 just to get your hands on one.

Lagoon-diving Bugatti owner buys replacement Veyron worth $1.5 million

We figured that it would take a really, really long time before you forget about Andy House of Luftkin, Texas. You’ll remember him from his now infamous ‘Veyron Dive’ a few months ago when he inexplicably drove his Bugatti Veyron straight into a lagoon in Galveston, Texas. Remember him, right?

Well, according to Jalopnik, the same dude who claimed that a pelican caused him to plunge into a lagoon has now bought a blue and black replacement Veyron for the one he went swimming with.

We figured that since he can afford to buy another $1.5 million Veyron after completely washing out his first one, then he can probably buy a Bluetooth headset or two. You know, just in case, another pelican shows up.

Third Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang being sold for $3.6 million in Germany

For one reason or another, it seems that owners of the Bugatti Veyron have become all-too eager to sell their multi-million-dollar ride. But what’s surprising is that a lot of the Veyron’s that are on the market these days are those of the special-edition variety.

A perfect example is this special edition Veyron Pur Sang, which a strapping seller from Germany is selling for €2.5 million ($3.6 million). By our count, this is the third Pur Sang that’s now up in the market, following two other special edition Pur Sang Veyrons that are currently being sold in Idstein, Germany and Florida, USA.

Our best guess is that since the Veyron is expected to finish production in 2012, these owners might as well be selling their rides in anticipation for the next car Bugatti has in store for us. By some accounts, that could be the much talked about Bugatti 16C Galibier.

One-off Bugatti Grand Sport BLanc Noir Edition spotted in California

The Bugatti Veyron is widely hailed as one of the most expensive and exclusive cars in the world and mere sightings of the car are enough to generate a few snapshots from every wide-eyed pedestrian that comes across one. This particular Veyron, which was spotted somewhere in California, is one such example. From afar, it looks like one of those typical Bugatti supercars – although ‘typical’ just might be an understatement in describing a Veyron.

Upon closer inspection, though, this Veyron is in fact the latest in a long line of limited edition – and by limited, we mean a one-off – models Bugatti is releasing before the Veyron ultimately rides off into the sunset in 2012. Dressed in a matte white body with a glossy black hood, this Veyron carries the name ‘Grand Sport Blanc Noir’, which, as the name suggests, was derived from the targa-roofed Veyron Grand Sport and, apparently, was built for an esteemed designer of the high-end clothing fraternity.

There’s no word as to how many more special-edition Veyrons Bugatti has in its plans but rest assured, you can expect that the French supercar makers probably have a few more up their sleeves.

1925 Bugatti Brescia pulled underwater to go up for auction

Back in July of last year, we ran a story about an almost century-old Brescia Bugatti being discovered in the bed of the Verbano Lake in Ascona, Switzerland by a diving club that went by the name Centro sport subacquei salvataggio Ascona – or CSSS, if you’re having trouble pronouncing the whole name.

Five months later, parts of the salvaged 1922 Bugatti Brescia Type 22 Roadster have been somewhat restored to its old form and is now being auctioned off by auction house Bonhams for an expected price tag of around $100,000 to $130,000 with the proceeds stemming from the sale to go to a charity that’s involved in curbing youth violence.

While the Brescia still looks a little worse for wear, it is worth pointing out that the car would make for a great exhibit and can maybe even be used as a peg for the creation of a replica. Either way, the six-figure price tag for the artefact seems to be well justified.

Bugatti Renaissance by JMV Design

Even if the exotic French automaker Bugatti has yet to announce the fate of a successor for the Veyron super car, that hasn’t stopped outside sources from dreaming up their own next generation 250 MPH+ dream machine. Take these renderings from the Canadian John Mark Vicente, a graduate of the Communication Design program at Emily Carr University. His creation is called called Renaissance and these wild computer aided renderings take all of the current Bugatti’s design cues that have become synonymous with the 1001 HP Veyron like the overall double bubble shape and signature twin air scoops protruding through the roof in order to ingest clean air at insanely fast speeds.

John Mark takes the Veyron to the next level with a full iRobot treatment by adding a new aggressive nose with much more angular LED headlamps, snarling snout and a more pronounced diffuser that looks to have been made from carbon fiber. Speaking of the lightweight wavy black stuff, the Renaissance also shows off its carbon construction with the A-pillars that sweep back into the forward section of the roof as well as with its rear flanks. Out back the forward thinking Bugatti trades in the Veyron’s curves for a much more angular rear end that matches the nose, while the larger diameter rims dress the would be super car up from every angle.

Bugatti trademarks 16C Galibier Concept

In an effort to prevent other manufacturers – and a few ambitious clone-makers – to make any copycat versions of the Bugatti 16C Galibier concept, the Volkswagen Group has decided to file trademark patents of the concept car at the World Intellectual Property Organization.

We’ve all seen from our experiences in the past how a luxury car ends up being cloned by rather cheap copycats and, each and every time, the resulting product completely butchers the original template of the model.
And that’s not even considering that most of these ‘cheap alternatives’ can do this because of a lack of trademarks from the original designers.

With the Bugatti 16C Galibier, however, Volkswagen is making sure to cover all of its bases. The car, while still a concept and has not yet been officially approved for the production line, is nonetheless expected to succeed the Veyron when it ceases production in 2012.

Powered by a 16-cylinder, 8.0-liter flex-fuel engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission that channels power through all four wheels, the 16C Galibier is expected to reach around 800 horsepower, a drop-off from the 1001 horsepower the Veyron is capable of.

We’re glad that Volkswagen Groups finally decided to have its design trademarked. We’ve had enough of those abhorrently horrendous cheap clones popping up from all corners of the world to last us multiple lifetimes.

Bugatti prepares faster Veyron?

For a very short while the Bugatti Veyron was the fastest road car on the market. And how today there are many others out there even faster than it, Bugatti decided its time for an improvement. What better was to celebrate Bugatti’s centenary year?

Recent spy shots reveal that Bugatti is preparing an improved supercar. And rumors say this new model will deliver around 1200 hp and will be capable of a top speed of 260 mph. It will also be lighter (with around 150 kilos), and the time sprint from 0 to 60 mph will be also improved.

Possible names: Veyron GT or Veyron Grand Prix. Official debut is expected to be made at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.
