After we have seen the MTM customization program for the Golf GTD, today another German tuner comes with another kit for the diesel version of the new generation Golf.

The ABT Golf GTD delivers a total of 190 HP and 390 NM of torque and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 7,1 seconds, while top speed is 230 km/h.

The aerodynamic kit includes: front spoiler, front grille, side sills, rear spoiler, rear apron set and the typical ABT 4-pipe rear muffler suit the powerful appearance of the ABT Golf VI GTD, sporty AR and BR wheels in 18 and 19 inch.

As it comes from the factory the Volkswagen Polo is an attractive vehicle, but with a little help from the German tuners at ABT Sportsline, the Golf becomes a whole new vehicle. The exterior is enhanced with a few carbon fiber spoilers, a central exit exhaust and a set of their signature 18 inch wheels. Beer and cars – every man’s dream, don’t you agree? And when we are talking about a tuned Audi it gets even better. Abt Sportsline has been asked by the beer producer Radeberger Pilsner to create a special Audi A5 Cabrio for the winner of a contest. The German tuner added a gaudy black and gold paint scheme, a "buck tooth" grille, and front fender vents, a revised front air dam, aggressive side skirts, a rear diffuser, and a sporty four-pipe exhaust system. The German tuning firm ABT Sportsline has announced the first details about their plans for upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March and we must say that it is quite an impressive lineup! The list of entrants includes new a customization program for the all new 2011 A8 dubbed the ABT AS8, a hard core ABT R8 GTR, a drop top ABT R8 Spyder as well as the new ABT Golf R. The four Geneva how cars are marked by ABT Sportsline’s never ending quest for perfection and their attention to detail producing impressive, beautiful and dynamic designs. Showing off the latest and greatest that ABT Sportsline has to offer, all of the tuner cars will be shod with the all new ABT CR rolling stock.

Abt Sportsline’s R8 GT-R was quite arguably, one of the most popular tuned-up supercars to make an appearance at the Geneva Motor Show.

Combining a significant power upgrade and a stream-lined and stylish look, the R8 GT-R, which was based on the Audi R8 V10 5.2 FSI, comes with a significant engine upgrade that saw its performance levels get spiked from 525 horsepower to 620 horsepower. The bump in pony power allows the R8 GT-R to clock a 0-100 km/h (62mph) time of just 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 202 mph.

ABT Sportsline also saw to it to give their creation a minor aesthetic makeover, which includes a carbon made bonnet, front and rear aprons, adjustable rear wing, tailgate, external mirrors and door panel.

In this video, ABT Sportsline’s head honchos, Hans Jürgen Abt and Albert Deuring take us on a little walk-a-bout tour of sorts and explains the method and motivation to turning the ABT R8 GT-R from an idea to reality.
